Lux
Lux was the first projection-mapped game I worked on. It was for an event at the Bombed-out church in Liverpool, for Liverpool Light Night. The main challenges of this project were the restraints of the building itself, and what sections worked and didn’t work, not just for a player to interact with, but for light from a projector too.
It was a fun project to learn from and to see how people interact with a game in a public setting. It was also good to try something new from what I had previously done.
The main gameplay came from using a non-contact controller to shoot your goo ball up the building, using sticky walls based on your colour in an attempt to reach the goals in each level.
All while the lava slowly moves upwards. Forcing you with it, lighting the building as you go.
